The SatNet system was designed from the beginning to support operation in any frequency band, including C, X, Ku and Ka bands. These frequencies have very different rain fade characteristics, with Ku and Ka bands posing the greatest challenge. In order to meet this challenge, SatNet has designed a system, called SatNet Clear SkyTM.

SatNet ClearSkyTM provides several advantages to network operators and/or service providers, the most important of which is that link budgets for terminals in the network can be designed for clear-sky conditions, resulting in a smaller antenna and/or power amplifier requirement for each terminal and or increased link availability. It features SatNet’s leading-edge rate adaptation technology.
